My MID device running Win CE 5.0 will no longer connect via USB to my lap top running Windows XP. Can you advise what the problem may be? I went through the find hardware exsrcise but the message said "new hardware found" but the laptop kept trying to access the mid tablet but did not seem to be able to connect.

try uninstalling the drivers and software for the MID and reinstalling again.
