Forum Windows XP : General Discussion Partition Find & Mount - will it help?

I can't boot into XP Home because I've managed to corrupt my drive geometry when trying to troubleshoot a failed graphic card installation (I have an open thread about that elsewhere on the site).

When I boot into MiniXP on Hiren's Boot CD I'm able to access the hard drive using Partition Find & Mount. Apparently, it ignored partition info and the MBR - it just searches for the geometry that makes most sense. Unfortunately, it's just there for getting data off the drive, it won't make any changes.

Is there a way to clone that across to an identical hard drive, which I can then swap out and use for booting?

Nevermind - tried it and it didn't work.
