what do you think would be the best swap a 1.6 for 1.8 the 1.6 for the rx7 engine a inline6 or a ls1 v8
all around performance i think the inline 6 or rotary would win but the v8 would still haul on the straits

Look at a nissan SR20 engine. They're smaller, easy to get big horsepower out of, and parts are easy to find. That's the engine I got for my datsun.

What do you put 1st in terms of priority? Reliability, power-band, fabrication skills required (if any). People have swapped damn near everything in Miatas. If it were my choice and i had some fab skills i'd go LS1 with the Bossfrog kit which is almost a straight bolt-in swap.
