as long as you don't expect too much, then that card will be fine. i can't tell you an actual fps for COD4, but it'll definitely be very playable. |

Who knows, you didn't give us enough details. The biggest question we need answered is what resolution do you play at? You said your not a hardcore gamer, so I'm assuming you don't play at a high res. The 4650 is good for up to 1680x1050, so assuming you don't have a 24" or bigger LCD, you should be good with the 4650. --------------- The voice of REASON Do NOT feed the TROLLS! Always a DEMON! |

No reason to get it, this HD4670 is the same price after a $10 rebate. Both use 55w of power. Just order the 4670.

Oops, good call dirt. For some reason I thought we were talking about the 4670. Don't bother with the 4650, get the 4670. --------------- The voice of REASON Do NOT feed the TROLLS! Always a DEMON! |

Just want to reiterate, spend the extra ten bucks! The 128-bit bus is already small, so pairing it with slow GDDR2 is a plain and simple hell-no when the GDDR3 version is only ten bucks more. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814121274

Yeah the 4670 is definitely the way to go for cheap graphics at that low of resolution. Speaking of which, why is your resolution so low and weird? Are you running on an old or eccentric monitor? |

I just installed the 4650 today to replace my old EVGA Geforce 7950GT, it is a night and day difference, my system is so much more stable, I play BF2 alot and also the ATV racing game Pure...before I would get artifacts and random crashes on Pure even on low settings, now I can play on high settings with shadows without a problem. the card has a much smaller fan and heatsink but runs about 15 deg c cooler according to the overclock utility that is in Catylist (I was using EVGA precision before) plus it seems to use alot less power (orion 485w psu) |

the 4670 packs a punch hard enough to shake the 192 bit gpu from nvidia.

@aj95, Yes and you`ll still be using an inferior card months or maybe years after you`ve lost interest in the free game. |

I must be weird or just play weak games because I cannot tell a difference in performance between the card I have with GDDR3 256bit (7950gt) and my DDR2 128 bit (HD4650) (I clocked both of them at the same speed, 610 mhz in precision and overdrive, respectively) |

Gotta remember you are using an older high end card in the 7950 vs a newer low end card. Newer gen prob has better architecture. |
