Hi guys,

Just bought an 8800gt PNY...Very happy with the card except one thing. That is that images are popping up as I'm gaming. Say for instance I'm walking toward a tree. I can see the tree but as I move one step closer the tree "pops" and really vividly adds more branches that I didn't see previously. I have a amd 6000+ the 8800gt and 2 gigs of ddr 2. I don't believe I have a bottle neck and I've messed with all kinds of settings. I get 250 fps pretty frequently and its smooth for the most part but the images popping up bugs the living tar outta me. What setting am I missing what effects this?

what game? some games will do that on purpose to improve performance. They load 1 low rez model when your far away so that the majority of the gpu power can go to you immediate surroundings.

call of duty 4 / frontlines fuel of war... both games do it in single player too....

Can I change this setting somehow?

It depends on the game. Viewing distance is sometimes adjustable with in game settings, as well as certain things in game :charactors,trees,grass, buildings etc. Go here, this site has many tweaks that can be done within a game, including links to many mods for them http://www.tweakguides.com/

Ok I've been messing with tweaks and reading these guides for 2 days and I can't seem to get this right...please help!
