I don't see any 'problems' with it. Though it'll be pretty nice, I'm curious if you have looked on the other side of spectrum; as in, intel x48 board + 4850/70.

Why go xp32 and THEN vista 64? just go vista first and skip xp all together. It would save you the cost of XP, a reinstall, ect.

I vote for a ati 4850, its faster and cheaper.

If I were doing SLI that would be my build. Except for the cooler.

But do get 4gigs RAM now. Get a 4 gig kit that EVGA and Corsair both agree will work. RAM is cheap now, but there's no guarantee it will stay that way.

Because XP is more stable/compatable than vista? Because Vista still needs reliable 64bit drivers?
He's doing the same thing I am. Once you load up on 4GB RAM, then install Vista on a sepearte partition. There's nothing wrong with XP short of not having DX10, and Windows 7 looks to be out far sooner than even I expected...

I'll be happy when the next windows comes out. I heard it will only be 64 bit. That should force a lot of folks to start freaking writing programs that work on 64 bit computers. Right now there is a real lack of consistancy in support for 64 bit... for no real reason. Ram is cheap now, so most ppl can afford 4 gig or more. Sorry... my little rant.
