I'm putting together a very cheap gaming system. My main goal is to be able to play new games for a couple of years to come smoothly. High graphic and resolution settings are not very important to me. Please tell me if this setup is adequate for what I am looking for. Thanks.

And I agree with teh_boxzor, get a p35 mobo, you will be able to OC that e7200 even farther. That ga-ep35-ds3l you linked is PERFECT.

That is a great case for 50$. I have that exact case except with the side panel (newegg doesn't sell it anymore) and love it. I dont know about that PSU though.

400Watts of Quality power is enough, but im not too sure about the quality of that psu. Its not 80Plus certified, but it does carry a 5 year warranty. If possible maybe spend a little bit more and go with this :

get the Antec PSU that suicide suggested. thermaltake is not really known for its PSU's (except the higher priced ones)

I'm going to have to stick with my case because I have already purchased it, but I will definitely look into the power supply.

I'm not sure if there is a point in upgrading the motherboard I'll double check, unless you need something such as esata or a particular option as you said you didn't plan on upgrading in a few years.

In addition I'd spend those few dollars on an 4870 which should outperform the 8800GT as it's current GPU chipset vrs last models.

I forget the efficiency between the two I personally have an 8800GT 512 and it works great but we are talking the future and GPU=75% in most games.

I didn't see mention of overclocking but if you choose to OC I would definitely suggest the other motherboard if not it will probably be irrelevant and you'll see much better use in a higher end Video card.

I already have the graphics card so I do not have the option of upgrading. Although I know nothing other than basic concepts of over clocking at the moment, it is something that interests me and I may delve into it eventually. So if the upgraded mobo is a better option if I choose to OC in the future, than I will probably get that one. Thanks
