How much are you looking to spend? The case could be better for the same price, are you set on side panel with LEDS are could you go with a better case with no side panel?

Memory: Nice choice if you have a 64 bit OS. If you're using XP, 3gb is the max it can recognize. But 3gbs will probably be only like $20 less...

MB: Someone recommended me this Motherboard if I only needed 1 graphics card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131299

More Information

well i might stick with the 4 gbs anyway bc 20 dollars is nothing and my budget is somewhere from 1,000 to 1,2000 dollars.

What case do u have in mind im open for suggestions, and should i get different cooling fans

Lastly this motherboard you have here what do i do if i want to slap on another graphics card later

More Information

When dealing with video cards, you have to decide how likely it is that you'll want to upgrade to Crossfire. If you think you will, you should get an X48 mobo that gives the best Crossfire performance. P45 mobos are best for single GPU systems, but some of them have support for two, at a slight drop in performance compared to the X48. If you're sure you want one card, go with the Gigabyte EP45-D3SL ($108). If you think you'll use two eventually, get the Gigabyte X48-DS4 ($225). Definitely go with 4GB of ram. You never know, you might want to go to Vista later. I would reccomend getting a better PSU. The Apevia ones are not good at all. Go with a Corsair. They have great values at all wattages.

More Information

my added power supply now
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817139005

this puts my total to $1,309.19

ohh and i added 5.1 speakers too

is it a bad thing that i took out the sound card too

More Information

Some people swear by sound cards but I think onboard sound is good enough.

More Information

I see no OS listed. 4850 would do better then that vid card. wouldnt be much increase in cash.

What is this comp for? If you do mostly/ almost only games, you might look at the newer 2 core procs. That is... do you need 4 cores?

forget the sound card.... all my onboards have sounded good nuff for me

could use help with choosing a graphics card bc im not really familiar with Radeon so i could use help. Ohh and im using vista ultimate 64 bit. What do you mean with the cores are u saying don't use the Q6600 but instead the dual core E8400 Wolfdale

More Information

well... right now and probably for the near future, games at max use 2 cores. As far as Radeons go, the 4850 should beat the 8800.

158 bones after the 30 dollar MIR. I like asus because of the better warranty. <<< 3 year warranty!

It is more likely then not. Fewer cores also produce less heat. This could... and I stress could lead to a better overclock. It is more likely that you will get a higher clock rate out of the 2 core CPU for less $$$.

More Information

ok im gonna switch to the duel core wolfdale and going to order everything now is it going to be ok
