New PC keeps crashing and giving blue screen

Hello!

I recently built a new Gaming PC and im frequently having blue screen and the system crashes.

The windows XP pro PC crashes almost twice a day, and there is no special scenario to make so that it crashes. the PC crashed while playing games, browsing the internet, or chating...

So what will happen is that the pc will give ma blue screen and then i have to restart it.
The most frequaent error that i get is: a blue screen saying tcpip.sys and DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
If i check the error logs by right cliking on my computer --> manage -->Event viewer --> Applications i can see error:

1- LoadPerf EventID 3011
Unloading the performance counter strings for service WmiApRpl (WmiApRpl) failed. The Error code is the first DWORD in Data section.

2- LoadPerf EventID 3012
The performance strings in the Performance registry value is corrupted when process Performance extension counter provider. BaseIndex value from Performance registry is the first DWORD in Data section, LastCounter value is the second DWORD in Data section, and LastHelp value is the third DWORD in Data section.


on some occasions i also got a blue screen with error SCSIPORT.sys and i got once error nv4_disp.dll

I tried installing sp3 and this didnt help. i tired updating my graphic card for the latest driver and this didnt help (actually after updating the driver i was running crysis GPU benchmark and the PC crashed and gave blue screen with error nv4_disp.dll and since then i didnt see this error again)

So any ideas?

is your PC oc-ed in any way?

the first thing i would check is the ram. go run memtest86 and see if your ram has any errors.

i have the same problems depending on which applications i`m bussy with mostly with games , many say its the RAM or some other hardware malfunction or software havent figured it out yet if someone knows please let me know also thx.

+1 on testing the RAM with Memtest86+. Make sure to let it run for at least 8 hours. That RAM is also not the greatest as it requires 2.1v to get slow 5-4-4-15 timings. Make sure you manually set the voltage and timings accordingly.

Guys, one thing at a time.

Its sounding like a memory issue or a driver issue; lets solve the easy to test one first.

Run memtest86 for a few hours and see if any errors are reported. If so, one or more of your RAM sticks are bad. If you pass, we can go from there.

new updates:

yesterday i ran 1 cycle of memtest86 and no errors were reported!
also yesterday my PC went mad! while i was using it many programs gave errors then i got a BSOD and i restarted it. so when it was booting i got a black screen saying that windows is corrupted and needs to be repaired...

So i Booted from the XP CD and repaired windows. but after a couple of hours i got a BSOD again.

Anyways to make the long story short, after all this mess, i decided to unistall the EPU6 Engine that comes with the ASUS motherboard (this is a software that enabled to Overclock or UnderClock the CPU

So yesterday i uninstalled it and today is almost over and still no BSOD
In few days if i dont get BSOD then i can confirm that the problem solved!
