I will be moving to the united states in a month and i am planning on getting a 1200$ computer with accecories + a second hand PS3 + a 24" screen with HDMI input. I was wondering about the Nehalem proccesors and the new mother boards. When will they come out? Should i wait for them? Will they enter my budget? Are they a lot better than the current tech?

I was building on this build:

CPU: Q6700

MOBO: P5E Deluxe

GPU: Saphire HD 4870

Memory: 2X1GB OCZ plantinum 800MHZ

Case: Termaltake Armor+MX

HDD: WD 640GB AAKS

Power supply: Corsair 750TX

Burner: Samsung

CPU cooler: Xigmatech S1283+ Bracket

Speakers: Z-4

Web cam: Quick Cam pro 9000

Mx2 termal paste

+ shipping and tax

-rebates

price:1400$

Now I am planning Cf in the near future...
I also need help to bring off 200$ from the build... I am planning to OC... So is the Nehalem better?
Thank you kindly helpers!!!!!!!
The screen i am thinking about is the Benq G2004WD 24" is it good for PS3? How can you switch from PC to PS3 on it?

Forget about Nehalem at this point in time, it will be neither available or affordable for general consumer use for probably another 1 to 2 years.
To save a bit on that build, use Q6600, cheaper and an excellent overclocker.

Never under estimate peoples capacity for stupidity, and you won't be disappointed.

Why so little ram. You should look into 4 GB (2x2GB) - it's dirt cheap right now. You'll want more memory for programs and games of the present and future.

Nahalem will be pretty expensive on launch, not to mention added expense of X58 motherboards that are DDR3 only.

+1 for rgsaunders
+1 for huron
you'll have to wait untill DDR3 is a lot cheaperif you are planning to use X58. Nahalem will be also very expensive if you buy it direct or near the launching, I guess, you will have to wait.
Just get Q6600 or Q9300 and an X38/X48 mobo and 2x2GB DDR2 800.
BTW : your PSU is 750W. It is enough for 2x HD4870.

Usually there is a switch or buttons on your monitor that allows you to choose input sources, if it allows you.

I choose to play my PS3 on my widescrenn 42'' Panasonic Plasma Display (with a Yamaha 5.1ch home theater) that have more than one HDMI inputs in the living room while I am playing any PC-games just on my ASUS VW198S and a medusa 5.1 headphone in my room.

So is this a OC rig? Are all the components in place as they should be? Some body told me that it is better to go with 2GB instead of 4GB for OC is that true?

Help please!

Shoot my friend just found out that the Termalright EXTREME 120 which is the same dimensions i think of the XIGMATEK doesn't fit in the armor+ MX. What can i do? Which cooler is small and good for around the same price???????

More Information

1. If you have any doubts that your heatsink won't fit to thermaltake armor, than why not choose an Antec 900, Antec 1200 or Coolermaster RC690. I would prefer to change my case better than to change the heatsink, since HDT-S1283 is one of the best there is.
2. If you are using 32bit OS, 2GB is the most efficient because a 32bit OS can only put up to 3.3GB RAM into usage. Get a 64bit OS if you wanna use 4GB or even 8GB RAM. (OC? 2GB? 4GB? where did you get such an idea? HELL NO!)
