Hi I am buying today and im not sure which card to get, they are about the same price and i could get either. I play at 10x7 and i am also getting an e2180 and 2gb of ram. people say that because of the gddr3 that the 3870 is only marginally better than the 3850, i jsut dont know what to do :sweat: .

Something like this would be a great choice. $100 after MIR including an aftermarket heatsink and a game, you can't beat that deal.

They are pretty much equal but as you get to higher resolutions the 3850 is a little ahead due to more memory. The problem is with deals like this 8800GTS 512 for $120 it's hard to recommend anything else.

$120 is a very good deal for a 8800GTS 512.
Also as ausch30 said(so do i)8800GS and HD 3850 perform closely to each other but HD 3850 has a little edge over its Nvidia rival.
