will a 4870x2 fit inside a NZXT lexa blackline case? i need to know before i buy. if it wont fit in it can anyboidy name a case made by NZXT that it will fit in?

Try to the nzxt tempest. Its huge.

I don't know that model vary, but if it is the same size as the tempest then absolutely.

Make sure to get a high res montior, as that card is about 300 dollars of wasted money when compared with others cards at low resolutions (anything below 1680x1050 pretty much).

alright the tempest is big but for what i want to do im going to need 4 external 5.25 bays minimum. 2 will be used for 2 disc drives the other 2 for a nzxt sentryLX.

You will be fine with either selection. Tempest has better cooling but if you need a certian number of drive bays only in the lexa then go for it. You should be fine, both are practically full towers.

The 9700 is only a few more cm longer then a 4870. You can't get cases much larger then either of those tempests.

but i was refering to the 4870x2 card not the 4870 card.

I meant to say R700, that model number for the 4870x2.
