I currently have an Abit IN9 32X mobo that needs to have the CMOS cleared everytime in order for it to boot. I'm tired of fighting with it yet at this point I need it since it is still running. I can't be without my PC for two weeks to RMA it so I'm looking to replace it.

Saw the JetWay HI03-Extreme and was wondering if anyone knew much about the brand? I know a small computer shop that sells these and also builds custom systems with them. I went in and asked one of the tech his thoughts and he said they're great boards but like all mobo manufacturers they do let lemons get by (hmmm, sort of like my Abit).

So any experience or information about the quality of the Jetway board let me know.

They're a well known brand in Asia. If you visit overclocking forums, you may have heard of it. The board is P35 which is a good overclocker. They have an office in the states.

The technician is right on the money about faulty products. I would say the same. Only fanboy/girl would say otherwise. If you're worried about this, you're best off picking out a board in good supply. i.e. ASUS/Gigabyte, etc. Most stores have 30-day money back or warranty (replacement).

I think your cmos reset can be fixed. I think it's your bios. Either try an older one or a newer one. Also, if it's been a while, the battery on the mobo may be dying. It's just a few dollars at most stores. Walmart included. Ask for CR2025.

Thanks!

BIOS has been flashed to every version availble on the IN9-32X. New CMOS battery less than a month ago, bench-boxed with just vid card, CPU and one stick of RAM, still doesn't boot. Soemthing went wrong when second hard drive was installed, windows BSODs and then the clear CMOS started. System did perform well for 4 months with no issues.
