I recently built a new computer piece by piece, just when I think Im finished, I go to turn it on, and to my surprise the monitor doesn't turn on, at first I thought maybe I have a faulty adaptor, but I have it plugged into this one atm, so its not that, the fan on the graphics card is running so I know its getting power. I dont know why the monitor will not display with the new graphics card.

Does the standby light come on on the monitor, but no image appears when you turn the PC on, or is the monitor itself completely dead? |

I honestly don't care for any more system details than motherboard and power supply, but the rest others with different theories to me. ---------------
