Hey guys I wanna build my girlfriend a computer for around 500 dollars(it can be more, like 100 or 200, just near the area of 500 is what I wish I can shoot for). It wont be a gaming computer. Just something to do school work, search the internet, watch hd movies, and POSSIBLY play games like Spore, because I think she'd like that game. I'd really appreciate it. I have already lined up specs for a computer for her, but if I were to see specs for computers you guys would make then I can compare and contrast and make the best possible candidate computer for her ya know? thanks guys

Pentium D series? Is that new? Pentium D series is old, very old, dude! the performance is way way out of date and not to mentioned the bad power consumption.
Get real, dude! You'll waste your money for nothing.

As far as i know, the e2000 series are based on the core 2 architecture but with only 1MB L2 cache.

And don't a 4GB kit (2x2GB) cost less than two 2GB kit?

You obviously dont know your tech very well. It is a e2180 which is the new Pentium Ds based on Allendale Core 2 Duos.
It is the same clock as a e8400, just less cache which dont mean jack in everday apps. That rig scores 12000+ 3Dmark 06 in Vista with a 8800GT.

Show me a better deal if you can.

Next time read the specs.

Bigburn....hmmmm...whom are you talking to? e2000? did someone had mentioned it here? or Have I passed somethin'?

Hes talking about your comment on the Pentium Ds.

They discontinued old Pentium Ds and replaced them with e21xx series.

They are Core 2 Duo design but Intel named them Pentium D so I list them that way. I dont want to get sued for listing it wrong.

More Information

I wouldnt sell that old junk. If I did it would be like $189.

Try reading the description next time.
