More Information

I've always had problems with my PC not showing accurate CPU temps. I don't know if its my CPU or my board. I have an AMD 4800+ CPU. Every time I run programs like PC Wizard 2008 or Speedfan I always get 25C for my CPU temperature. Although, I have a Zalman I still no this isn't accurate. Even if I am playing a game or converting a movie it still says the same, never increases or decreases.

I notice when I was Gaming in Vista my PC would always shut off within 10 minutes or so. When I mean shut off I mean like as if there was a power failure. I guess that means it's getting hot, right? I went to Gigabyte website and downloaded and flash the newest bios update to see if it was a problem with my bios:
FG 2008/03/07

1. Update CPU ID (Support AM2+ Phenom Triple Core CPU)

I also decided to pull Zalman and replace it will a QUADCORE AMD heatsink that came with one of the new Phenom's. I also repaste with more expensive paste. I think that fixed my overheating problem cause I've been able to plays for at least an hour at a time.

My ongoing problem still exists, I can't get any accurate CPU temps, any suggestions on the problem.
