I would not really call this a high end gaming system, maybe low to mid. No offense. (I am building a E8400, 4GB, 8800GT card myself, and this is what I consider low to mid)

I would also get a better PSU than what comes with a 99$ case. I fretted over this for a week myself, and ended up getting a Corsair. PC Power and cooling
is also another recommended brand around here.

My rough numbers come out a little over 828$ for that setup. (I think you forgot to add the Video card price or the CPU to your total)...pulling a price of 259$ for the CPU from Frys (and I don't think it includes a heatsink)
and 214.99 for the video card form newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 8800%2bGTS

More Information

^ Nope I added them just that I am getting the CPU for 210 and Video card for 120 - why do you think the power isn't enough?

More Information

I agree with y2kgtp. Better to spend some extra on the power supply, than see your investment vanish in black smoke. 500W is sufficient.
Get a Coolermaster Centurion and a Corsair HX-520 or choose a power supply from below.

A Good 500W power supply should be enough for that. Read threw the reviews of the case searching for 'power' or 'power supply' and seems to be alot of complaints or comments over replacing it.. I could not find any specifications on the PSU other than 1 comment of '500 watts with 22A on the 12v rail' which might not be enough for a 8800GTS card.

I also read another comment that it includes 1 SATA power cable, with both connectors on the same cable....so your hard drive and Optical drive better be right on top of each other, or you might have issues hooking up the cable.

i had some issues using sata DVD/RW's to install XP on some Gigabyte P35 boards... I'd recommend this instead:

LITE-ON Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache IDE 20X DVD±R DVD Burner - OEM - $22

that drops your overall price below $700...

where's your operating system?

Think of this.....your spending 200$+ on a CPU, 100$+ on a motherboard, 200$+ on a video card.

Are you going to directly connect all of this expensive equipment with a power supply you have no idea even what the
brand name is? (I don't think Raidmax makes PSU's......)

Your Video card & both drives get powered from the 1 22A Rail here.....

also, i agree with the previous posters that I wouldn't stick with a 500W PSU from a $99 RAIDMax case... if it was Antec, it'd be a different story... but then again, if it was an Antec case w/ 500W power supply, it'd be more than $99...

you get what you pay for, don't let your $700 mid-range gaming system go up in smoke in 6 months because your PSU pops a capacitor and sends a hefty surge through your motherboard and graphics card...

only saying that because it happened to me... invest a good $100 (give or take) in a power supply that will last you through upgrades...

$30 more for a 610W ($109):

$40 more than that for a 750W ($149):

Good luck and enjoy

Per the graphics card manufacturer, that power supply (the one that comes with the case) won't be enough.....

it is going to be windows vista 64bit - why doesn't the SATA drive work with it?

Per your video card website, that PSU does not have enough current to run the card, much less the
drives in the case as well.

What's your budget?
