So I just built this pc:
-Q6600
-Gskill 4gb 1066 ram
-eVGA 8800gts
-Seagate Barracuda 250gb
-Rosewill 550w psu

But I'm having some problems when trying to launch a game (through steam if that matters). I always get a bsod and it says something about "page fault in non fault area" and "nv4_mini.sys." So I'm not sure if there is a memory or graphics issue. The game (such as CSS) will get to the main menu and the "loading" but will soon result in a bsod. I have also tried this with TF2 and the same thing happened. I haven't had any problems with anything else on vista, just games. I've googled the problem and the only thing I have tried is increasing the page file, but the same thing happened. Please help.

PSU is a weakpoint on that system. Could be an issue.

Update to the newest video card drivers.

What motherboard do you have?

I'm at the latest windows vista 64 drivers for my video card.

As long as the psu is able to put out its rated power your should be ok there, rosewill is not highly rated, so if you can borrow another psu from someone it may be a good idea.

If its still doing it, you can also try the last one(169.25). Nvidia has a bad track record with vista drivers.

Ram might not be running specs. It might need a little extra voltage as well.

Probably a driver issue, try running driver cleaner pro, its free. After runing the program then install the latest driver, if you were using the latest you might give the beta a shot. I have had the same issue before.

You might also look at your windows event viewer make note of the time of the crash and check the events and see what caused it. It should have a code you can look up on the internet and tell what is the issue.
