OP just use the 'print screen' key then open 'Paint' from your Start Menu and paste the screen shot there in MS paint. Save it (with your CPUZ shot) as a JPEG to your desktop, then post it online at Imageshack. Then insert the Imagshhack file in your post.

Also I found on hosting site to host the images...as you suggested, I store the image as bitmap and uploaded it and paste the link in message. |

The quality after compression is horrible, when using mspaint so I prefer bitmaps though we need to bare the extra bytes... |

I don't bother converting it to a jpeg either and tinypic takes it. Uploads would be faster but that's why we have broadband. The problem with print screen is that you have to capture the whole screen and crop it, instead of only capturing the active window.

If you press Alt+PrintScreen, then it captures the active window alone. So, you don't need any other additional tools. Great that you endorse the opensource tool(GIMP).

I thought there was a way to do it when I said that. I never use it, I like Capture better. |

Yeah, I just used the ALT+print Screen for the first time. Now I can open Photoshop and paste that screen shot in PS by holding down CTRL and V. Message edited by badge on 08-12-2008 at 01:11:02 PM |

LOL. I can't get that program Zorg posted to work in Vista 64? I did manage to flash my BIOS on my maximus Formula just now. Now to see if S3 'sleep damit' works properly! LOL. Message edited by badge on 08-12-2008 at 01:10:52 PM |

What hijack the OP has been answered, hell he's giving the info on the whole alt thing. I didn't think about Capture not working in Vista, I'm glad I know now. The program has been around for a long time. I suspect they have no designs on updating it either. Another good reason to not get Vista. Message edited by Zorg on 08-12-2008 at 01:26:12 PM |

Yeah, I read the info (Intro anyway) and installed it. It installed, but would not launch? I uninstalled it. Then went into X86 programs and found the master file for it. Vista would not let me delete it until I restarted the system. I then deleted the program file associated with it. Then I ran a quick CC registry clean. Gone...LOL! I wish it had worked, it would have probably been better than doing a upgrade for a 19 year old, firm chested long legged office assistant I know! LOL.
