Hi I have a striker extreme mb, it has the latest bios version and the newest drivers. my rig has been fine for ages, no problems. But the other day I turned it on and got a monitor message saying there was an issue, to press f1 to proceed or del to enter settings.

i found that the vcore value is red reading 3.01. \It seems to constantly stay around that,
it just seems to be that one reading that is unusally high. everything else reads:

memory voltage 1.87V
1.2v HT voltage 1.23v
NB voltage 1.23v
IB Volatage 1.52V
CPU VTT voltage 1.21 - 1.28 v (keeps changing)
DDR2 Termination voltage 0.92 v
3.3v voltage 2.97v
5v voltage 4.99v
12v voltage 11.71v

CPU temp 42degrees c
m/b temp 25degrees c

does that seem ok?
My powersupply is a thermaltake toughpower 700watt. it is almost a brand new power supply, and was recently upgraded. the motherboard is also pretty new. could the motherboard have been wired up incorrectly (it wasn't myself that did it). the fault seemed to occur when i reset all the bios settings back to default the other day. i hadn't noticed the error message untill i did that.

does anyone know if there is any issues with this? could it be reporting normally that the vcore is actually 3.01 or could there be an error. or could it be a faulty sensor and therefore, will my computer run ok like this, i am scared to use it again/?

If it is really 3.01 your gonna burn it down.

If temps are fine and benches are scoring normal its probably a glitch.

Do a clear CMOS but do it this way.

1. Take out the mobo battery
2. unplug the P1 and 12v connector to ur mobo from the power supply
3. wait and reconnect and power on

The reason u have to do all this is cause if you jus remove the mobo battery and set jumper for clear cmos its not enough. At least for some mobo it doesnt completely clear the cmos

Hi, I've got the same problem, pc was running fine untill this morning when I started it up and got a monitor message. Went into the bios and got these readings under the hardware monitor section.

VCore Voltage : 4.16
3.3V Voltage : 4.08
5V Voltage : 6.85
12V Voltage : 16.32

And my temps : (-) 128 Degrees Celsius for cpu and system.

Almost got a heart attack upon seeing these readings, but they must be bogus cause I can get into Windows, run COD4 and all my other apps.

I also placed an external temperature sensor on the cpu and got a reading of 38 Degrees.

Was running bios 1504, flashed it to 1603 and still the same, so I'm out of ideas. Must be a glitch is all I can think.

Hi again, I tried what lasttarget recommended again, but left it unplugged for about an hour. Reseated the mobo battery, connected all the power cables and all my readings are normal again :)

Thx again lasttarget, think I was too quick the first time around.
