Just wanted to post my the specs on my successful new build that every here at Tom's help me put together.


Inside the Case:

Cooler Master Stacker 830 SE

Real Power Pro 1000w PSU

EVGA 750i FTW motherboard

E8400 Wolfdale Processor 3.0ghtz 1333 FSB 6Mb Cache

4gigs OZC Reaper HPC memory. DDR2 1066

2 Zotac Branded 8800 GT in SLI (was iffy at first but the factory's aggressive overclock and decent price convinced me)

X-Fi Platinum sound card (from old machine)

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 750gig Sata hard drive

Dvd Burner (uhh just picked up cheapest on Newegg)


Outside the PC:
Dell 22" Ultrasharp (for games)
Dell 22" E228 (for Screen Real estate)
G15 Gaming Keyboard (New Version)
G5 Gaming Mouse (Old version; orange and grey/black)
Logitech Z-5500 5.1


No Benching/overclocking done as yet, but subjunctively this thing flies.

I was really blown away considering I came from a
P4 2.8ghtz Northwood Processor
1gig Budget no name ram
9800 Pro in a APG 4X slot

Hey I just ordered the same case for my first build, how is it?

IMO you would have been better off getting a single faster card, instead of slower two. sli won't do you much good on 22" monitor.

but congrats on the new system anyways
