Looks like you don't have the IDE drives hooked up right. Put one drive as Master other as Slave. Or put it in cable select. --------------- E2180 @3.2Ghz + P35DS3L +8400GS (700/475 OC) ![]() |

I had a similar issue with an older computer that used Plexor IDE drives. Hooking them up as master and slave didn't help in my case. It seemed to be a controller problem, as you have surmised. The only way I could run two drives was if one of them was a read only disk drive. I simply adjusted to the idea that only one drive could be a write/rewrite disk drive. --------------- Evil lurks in the databanks as it lurked in the streets of yesteryear. But it was never the streets that were evil. Over 50. Seen it, done it, can't remember it. |

In my case, I had to buy a drive that was read only. Once it installed, everything worked fine. I used the read/write drive I took out in a separate computer. --------------- Evil lurks in the databanks as it lurked in the streets of yesteryear. But it was never the streets that were evil.
