Alright after looking over all of that, im thinkin screw the future dual 8800gt's cuz i say i might do it but i know i wont. With that being said, is there a cheaper/better mobo i could go with to save me a little cash? |

Go with an 8800 gs for now because new cards are coming out within a month...they should be MUCH more powerful, and if they aren't super awesome at least they'll push current prices down a couple notches. --------------- X2 5400+, Biostar TA780G M2+ MATX, 2 gig mushkin, 8800gts 512 , CM 532, Kingwin 450w ATX 2.2 "Now if the 4870x2 was actually notably faster than the 280 for about the same price, then I might even take a chance on it. However, that won't be the case." |

I have a similar system, with the 8400,same amount and type of ram and same graphics card. However, I wanted to save a bit on the motherboard as i am not huge into overclocking and i got the MSI P7N sli platinum and my system is running perfectly. If you don't want tons of features but you want a decent sli ready motherboard i would recommend it...although i am no expert it may be missing something you want. |

I'd say E8400 over Q6600 for gaming. For photoshop / general productivity / multitasking maybe the Q6600 would be better, but since you're gaming on it, definitely the E8400. |

As of Photoshop CS3, speed matters more than number of cores. The same goes for games. The E8400 outperforms the Q6600. Just read the CPU charts to see this. |
