The main difference between the Seagate 7200.10 and 7200.11 was the cache. This has 32MB cache so it is a 7200.11.

As for better deal lets see..... That is a great deal. But it would benefit you a bit more to get 2 500GB 7200.11 drives and put them in a RAID0 as that will give you better data transfer rates.

In my opinion this is the best 7200 rpm sata drive you can get, I run 4 of these in a raid array (mirrored) with a 64 bit stripe size and they thump away all day and never give me a problem. I was a SCSI only guy before these drives and even then used only seagate, those SCSI drives have been going to for over 10 years now (8GB and 18GB) and still not one issue. I couldn't recomend seagate enough. Consider getting 2 500Gb drives in a raid 0 with a 64 bit stripe instead of 1 terabyte. If you don't have raid on your mobo, the cards are cheap!! Good luck
