overclock from the bios or windows programs such as easy tuner both have their merits. I prefer from the bios but many others prefer the stability that the windows program grant. Always check your overclock with a program, I believe occt to be one of the best. It found a ram stick error in about 3 minutes and I never could catch on memtest provided I ran it for over 24 hours. |

The performance difference between ddr2 and ddr3 is about 5% at most but you need to buy what you can justify. If you plan on keeping the ram then ddr3 is the choice for you |

I would totally forget about that RAM, it will perform terrible. The timings are so bad that I doubt that it will perform better than 533 Mhz DDR2 RAM. Also I would DEFINITELY get this power supply instead: Message edited by The_Blood_ Raven on 07-05-2008 at 06:49:37 PM --------------- Blasphemy is the spice of life. |

When you say overclocking, how much overclocking? Dynamic overclocking, sub-zero overclocking or what? If your looking at serious overclocking that setup is flawed, if your looking at a mild overclock I suggest you ensure the mobo/bios/ram situation has been sorted for you already because people are getting stuck with RAM.
