I had Adblock Plus on in FF so I couldn't see it. I disable it reload the page and NoScript tells me there was an attempted XSS attack

Anyways, its kinda funny to see Gigabyte say sorry to Asus, probably realized they would be pummeled.

I seem to remember that Gigabyte was at first swearing that everything it said was true and ASUS could take a flying leap. Seems like some little suggestion from ASUS like "Meet me in court and tell it to the judge" put a new perspective on things. I do wonder, though, will any heads roll over at Gigabyte? I mean, besides the expense of buying adds all over the place, its got to dig pretty deep for the CEO of Gigabyte to have to apologize all over the place and admit they were liars.

Lol. Gigabyte > Asus.
The only reason they apologized is because they don't want to deal with a lawsuit. In my books, even if Gigabyte was wrong or right, they are the bigger person. In tests, Gigabytes energy savings is greater than Asus's.

It isn't that Gigabyte didn't want to deal with a lawsuit, per se'. They got caught in a lie. Worse, it amounted to malicious slander and libel, which has some extremely big penalties attached. Gigabyte isn't a bigger person by admitting they lied. They're admitting they were a lair and a fraud, and that makes them a little worm.

Hey all companies are evil! The biggest of them are:

Sony (Rootkit remember?)
Microsoft/Apple (DRM,etc)
Dell/HP,and some other OEMs (cr@ppy "no" customer service)

Btw, I don't care about all these energy saving features. Both GIGABYTE and ASUS have their share of problems. All I care about is if the manufactures allow OCing and that their hardware is good quality and stable. I have yet to have a ASUS or Gigabyte motherboard die on me.

If such is the case, you've been fortunate. I've had a Gigabyte board die on me and problems with an ASUS board. I thinlk both companies have had their share of winners and loosers. At least that's been my experience.

^ lol, how long have you been building (im guessing you have been doing it longer than me)? I have been building since mid 2004. I heard many of the problems with motherboards were during 2000-2002 mainly due to bad caps.

These "energy saving" features amount to basically nothing, its just another "go green" ploy to make money. I really dont think bickering over it or taking the **** to court is worth the $0.01 it will save you on your power bill as opposed to using a board from 3 years ago.

Agreed, Gigabyte esp. killed their P35-DS3x boards by adding DES. (There are reported problems of voltages not sticking" )
