You could puncture it. (poke it with a knife.) You should double check to make sure you don't have an extra one installed. If you have an extra standoff, it will ground the motherboard, and prevent it from working. --------------- The voice of REASON Do NOT feed the TROLLS! Always a DEMON! |

They probably mean the ones you won't be screwing into (that is if yours are welded to the board)

Take small nail and make a hole in the very center of the tape where the screw will go and the threads are. |

just to close this thread off, i found some plastic standoffs and reassembled my pc and all it well, the problem didnt come back.
