I'm debating on doing RAID 0 with the HDD, but I've read that they are ridiculously fast as it is. I might just buy a videogame with the extra cash.

8800gtx isn't best value right now, as they still cost a lot. A g92 8800gts with small oc overtakes 8800gtx in performance, and cost far less. And there's also the 9800gtx.

Also, if you're going to buy Vista and don't already own it, get the 64bit version for your 4gb of ram.

The 9800 does slightly better than the 8800 with AA and other filters on, whichever is cheaper would be the way to go.

In a month there will probably be something much better though.

I recently got the 92mm Xigmatek cooler... nicer than the AC Freezer 7 imo (same size fan).

Yeah, I'm getting a deal for $230 for an 8800gtx, otherwise I'd go with the 9800.

I'll look into the Xigmatek, I'm sure it is better that the AC. It's been around for a while now.

I have till june till I purchase this build, so if a new line of GPU's comes out, I'll definitely have to consider them.

If you are spending that much money, I know exactly what you are looking for. I recently built a pc with that much. If you want an Nvidia mobo I highly suggest the 790i, the 780i's are nightmarishly hard to overclock. If you don't care too much about SLI, go for an X38 or X48 mobo that uses DDR2 RAM if you don;t want to pay extra money for DDR3. I wouldn't spend that much money on a sound card if I were using only a 2.1 speaker setup, but that's my opinion. Other than that I really think you are spot on. Case is excellent and it has a removable Mobo tray. And I personally recommend buying an Nvidia graphics card from EVGA because of their step-up program. That way you can get one of the new GTX 280's when they come out. Check these parts out:

I wanted to go with the Zerotherm nervana, however, I had read that that fan would not fit with my motherboard (x38). I looked the Vendetta 2 and the Xigmatek 120mm and both of those would not fit either. The zalman had plenty of comments clarifying that it would fit with my motherboard and my case, so I choose that. By fit, I mean clear the first two RAM slots.

What mobo did you get btw.
