Hi,
I have an Asus PC-DL motherboard that has been great. This is now the second time it needs to be replaced due to chip failure. It has dual Xeon 3.0 processors, 4gb ram and a FX5700 Graphics Card.
I think its time to make the leap into new technology. Tom's Processor chart is over a year old.

I need recommendations for the fastest Asus Motherboard with Intel technology but Asus's site lists way too many choices.

There's Duo, Quad, Core 2, Core 2 Duo...

Is there a straight forward chart that lays all this out?

I want to do high end video editing again at some point with the new choice.

Where can I turn?

It blows my mind that Asus doesn't have a simple chart that explains the difference between models in the their motherboard families. How many flavors of PK5 are there? Twenty or so? And they seem to think I have all the free time in the world to figure it all out? One simple chart would be wonderful.

Does anyone know if the other mobo manufacturers do this? I'd happily start looking at their products.
