Can anyone help me, i'm bit confused w/ pc case. I just bought a new system with specifications :

Processor : Intel Q6600 no OCed
Mother Board : Abit IP35-Pro
Memory : Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX And Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX
VGA Card : Leadtek Winfast PX8800GTS
HDD : 320 Gb and 200 Gb Western Digital SATA
CPU Cooling : Stock (planning on Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme)
PSU : Thermaltake W0163 650W

I'm placing all the hardware on my old pc case. And guess what, the temperature of motherboard and the cpu is rocket to the sky. Board temperature almost 45c and the cpu is more worst 81c at idle. so i'm opened up my side panel to let the air circulate to the system, and just have a 1-3celc down temperature both on the board and the cpu. So... mind if any one could suggest the bes case with good airflow to the case? coz i want a real nice non loudly beep speaker from the system. thanks anyway.

If you have some money left, go for the Thermaltake Armor +(If not go with a Antec 900, Antec P182)

If the temperature only dropped a few degrees when you opened the case, it sounds more like the CPU cooler isn't seated right. I'd take off the cooler and re-seat it before shelling out on a new case.

although these are all great cases, i would also add the Coolermaster Centurion to that list.

If you are idling at 80 C with a Q6600 at stock speeds, you have something fundamentally WRONG.

Fix that first before you do anything else.

I have a Q6600 running at 3.3 GHz. Idling , two cores run at about 30 C. and two run at about 40 C. Loaded with 4 instances of Prime95 running, core temps are about 55 C.

Even overvolted and OC'd to 3.6 GHz , loaded with Prime95 , all four cores ran at just below 70 C. with a TR Ultra 120 Ext.

It does sound like the CPU cooler needs to be reapplied, even in a semi-sealed case the CPU should not be that high. Also If you do want a new case, I believe in never skimping on a case, the Cooler Master 690 is not expensive but looks great and cools very well.

I think i'll go with the Thermaltake Armor (if my wallet granted, this week maybe). Lots of fans, plenty of room for my 8800gts. And i'm gonna make this one as a server in my home, since i'm low of budget to build a server system pc. And for my next build target i'm planning to use the Coolermaster 900!But, anyway thanks for the tips.

I was checking out Thermaltake Armor at Microcenter this weekend - I don't see the appeal. I figured out years ago that I dislike cases that have front panel doors. I took a pliers to my current case to remove the door, as all it ever did was get in the way, especially after cheap plastic clip that held it closed broke after six months.

The Armor doesn't have a front door panel, it just has these two kinda... flaps. They don't look cool. They'll get in the way every bit as much as a full door, but won't provide any of the potential benefits of an actual door.

If money and space are no object, I was also checking out a Thermaltake Mozart TX, which was positively alarming. I'm not sure I'd buy one for myself, but wow, its cool. In a perverse sort of way.

Yeah, I must say Bloodraven and others got me looking into the A70 by Lian Li and it is a great case.

I just wish the A7010 was out! (even if I don't need the hotswappable raid thingies, it looks a little nicer otherwise about the same as A70).
