I recently bought a Sony Ericsson GC82 card. I took the sim card out of
my Treo 600--I have an unlimited PDA plan with Cingular--- put it inside
the card and was able to connect and browse the web but only through
CSD. I cannot get it to work (connect yes but not browse) with an
EDGE/GPRS profile! I am afraid that using CSD may use up my minutes,
although I see no evidence of that when I check my usage online. I want
the GC82 to work with EDGE/GPRS but something is happening that I cannot
connect. Is it because I don't have a laptop data plan and only a PDA
plan? Why am I able to connect through CSD and not through EDGE GPRS?
Any ideas or solutions will be much appreciated.

You need the laptop data plan in order to browse. By the way have you
updated the firmware on the GC82?

I did upgrade the firmware. I can browse fine using the CSD settings
even though I only have a PDA plan. Should I switch to the Sony Ericsson
software to handle the connection instead of the Cingular software?
Again, why does it work with CSD and not EDGE/GPRS?

You can actually access pretty much the entire Internet with the GC82 on a
MEdia package.
