What does your thread title have to do with you question ?

And it depends on what your intent is. To replace the OS,
or to keep Vista and add XP.

Buy an XP disk and key (ebay is not a good place for this as they often have fake keys), install it on the computer. There is no "change Vista to XP" button you can press, need to go through the full system installation like with any other software setup.
