I am going to be purchasing a new motherboard. Either the Asus M2N-32 Sli Deluxe or the Asus Crosshair. I would be buying from Frys. I was reading on newegg that the most recent bios updates will screw up the bios and won't be compatible with my processor(5600+). I am a novice user, so, if money was no object, which of these motherboards would be better? Can you please tell me which bios would be best for each mobo for my processor. THANKS!

AMD Athlon 5600+
2Gb Patriot Ram 800Mhz
8800gt
Barracuda 500GB
Corsair Cmpsu-520hx 520W power supply

How are going to use the machine? What mobo features do you beed, e.g., firewire? Will you be overclocking or using RAID? What's best always depends on budget and how'll you'll be using the machine

Figure they are the same price because i'm getting it as a gift.

I herd the best bios version for the Crosshair is 0804, is this true?
