The winners of the first "TuxMobil GNU/Linux Award" have been elected by
a jury consisting of Georg C. F. Greve (Free Software Foundation Europe),
Joerg Luther (Editor in Chief LinuxUser) Werner W. Heuser (TuxMobil).
This year the award honors five Free Software projects, which are improving
Linux for mobile computers.

Handhelds.org has been hosted and sponsored by DEC's, then Compaq's,
then HP's Cambridge Research Lab (CRL) since 1999. CRL will be closed
this fall as part of HP Lab's current restructuring plan.
