I would remove the drives one by one and any cards until you have just the video, cpu/heatsink, and memory. But the usual suspect is the power supply. It's one of the easiest and cheapest parts you can replace. I would upgrade to a better brand if needed. I use antec. Fortron, enermax, seasonic, corsair, and pc power and cooling are also good. Even if the board turns out to be bad, it's always good to have a spare ps. |

hardrive failed - the motor is using too much juice and then it completely kills the system

They are SATA drives if that matters. Here is what I did (and what I think maybe the problem)

Make sure your video card is in socket completely.I just had the same issue and my card was not seated in solt completely. |

It was the video card. After reboot and listening I got the long beep and two or three short beeps. Just popped in another card and it was up and running like new. |
