I have a slightly older compaq laptop. It runs on Windows XP for an OS. Last week I was getting ready to leave for vacation and I noticed it had "Limited or no Connectivity." I thought that was odd since it was literally 3 feet from the router. The weirdest part is that it says it has excellent signal strength. I tried the Microsoft way of fixing this which was goin to run and:

>Enter: %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc .s
>Double Click Windows Zero Configuration
>Set to automatic, hit apply, and hit start.

I did all this to no avail. I've also done the never fail Microsoft fix all of restarting the computer and restarting the router.

I'd really appreciate any help, if more information is needed let me know.

Also, as a side note, it seems that my USB ports have also stopped working. My mouse that functioned perfectly previously no longer works (no it's not the batteries, I tried several different mouses and an iPod connector. It didn't recognize any of them.)
