So i found this site just now :

http://www.mojaveexperiment.com/

And it's pretty funny to me. Basically, Microsoft got some people together and asked them alot of questions and had them rate vista etc, then they had them test drive what they told everybody was a new microsoft OS but really was Vista kind of disguised.

people rated the ''New OS'' as 8.5 / 10, but vista before trying the "new OS'' as 4.4 / 10.

This is funny to me because I saw this mac commercial last night where this guy had different teas and ointments to sooth vista problems and i just can't help but think how idiotic of a commercial that is... and not to mention my wonder if microsoft could file some sort of defamation law suit.

Most people have been using windows for ages and moving to a mac is going to be a much higher learning curve then moving to vista which is only slightly different then other windows platforms.

If anybody has a valid argument against that, please feel free to post. i think if people move to vista and are totally devistated then they are obviously not computer literate and probably shouldn't operate any computer, and certainly not a mac.

Whatever :sarcastic:

It's on the MS site, surely it can't be biased!? How exactly do we know these people were genuinely unsuspecting? Like I said blatant desperation by MS.

Only problem with your theory speedbird is that we all know that the experiment accurately reflects the real situation. It's about time MS struck back with a little propaganda of their own. Apple puts out ten zillion propaganda pieces to MS's 1 and you when MS does it you start yelling about it - typical Mac sheeple response.

I don't remember defending Apple anywhere? I don't even use a Mac or want one for that matter.

Speed - Your track record on the subject speaks for itself: None of your posts have added value or actually helped anyone. You only come into this area when you're bored and want to pull people's chains. So spare us all the feigned indignation, please.

The OP started a post and I stated an opinion

Perhaps you don't like my views on vista, but I couldn't care less really.

MS is simply doing what Apple does, yet you've only decided to complain about MS. That's the rub. I have a feeling that the MS "experiment" is a little closer to the truth than Apple's ads, however.

I believe the Title of this thread is "Vista : The Mojave Experiment", Although Apple was mentioned, I stayed with the main Topic.

If you really want to know, I do believe Macs are overrated.
