 Thread : ipconfig won't work

More Information

i'm sorry if this has been posted before- i tried looking for the answer but it's hard to describe in the search bar.

sorry if it's a dumb question too.

anyway...i'm trying to get my network information and i go to RUN and type in ipconfig or ipconfig /all and the MS DOS window that pops up to display the info pops up, bot only for a split second and then disapears.

i've tried pushing the pause button to freeze the window but that only freezes a blank black screen that doesn't display any info.

what is causing the black window to immediately disappear?

please help...and thanks in advance.

at RUN type cmd. This opens the command prompt.
now type ipconfig. You will now get the information you require

thanks....that works... don't know why typing the command in RUN stopped working. oh well.

More Information

as far as I'm aware, it's never worked typing in RUN

More Information

It works, but the DOS window never stays open after the command is executed. There might be a way to get it to stay open beyond opening the DOS window manually, but I'm not sure.
