This newsgroup has helped me a lot. Thank you all for your shared
knowledge!

I am a former Palm user, and that device had a "shortcuts" program built-in
to it. This is where you can assign a few characters to be typed and when
you do a word (phrase, sentence, etc.) displays on the screen. It speeds
input greatly, especially if you routinely enter similiar items (daily
notes, etc.).

Does anyone know of a shortcuts program for the Pocket PC?

Thanks, dp

I have looked in the past and not been able to find anything. I use a
similar program called "shortkeys" on my Windows PC and it is invaluable.

If you find one, let me know <g>

Any Pocket PC developers out there who can spot a market?

There are at least a couple out there...

the only one that pops to mind is part of the fitaly keyboard but does
what you need.

It's not for typing, but Calligrapher has such a thing for written
shortcuts. It's called Pen Commander (comes with Calligrapher), and lets you
create macros, launched by a short handwritten something and circled.
Writing addr and circling it can be set to input your entire mailing
address. www.phatware.com
