More Information

I was just wondering if anyone owns the Asus WL500W or the Asus WL500G Premium and how they like the performance? I really like the feature to download BT while your computer is not connected to the network which is why I am leaning towards an asus router. But I need a router that will be able to process a lot of things and make different priorities (like QOS). I have VOIP and also a SlingBox that I will be watching over the web as well as gaming. I was just wondering if this router would be good or if there is a better one. I have also looked at the Belkin N1 router, Linksys WRT54G and the D-Link DIR-625. Which would be the best router for reliable connection as well as being able to handle multiple types of connections at the same time as mentioned above (IE SLINGBOX). For the 500G Premium it states on there website "In addition, the WL-500g Premium also enables customized allocation of bandwidth to better execute time-sensitive applications including IP phone and multimedia applications. IP phone or A/V streaming applications can be executed without interference." Do you think that this is automatic or you have to set what you want. Would this work as effectively as QOS? Also i saw on Asus website that this wireless N router is guaranteed to work with the final specs of wireless N. They will either do a firmware update or replace the hardware if it is not compatible. What are your thoughts, or suggest a router I haven’t mentioned.
