 Thread : Network locks up

More Information

Hi, i'm having a little problem with Vista. Last week i installed Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit. Everything works perfect but when "he" wants my network just locks up. All established connections remain active but all new incoming/outgoing connections are blocked. Tried everything: "diagnostic and repair, reset the network card but no result. The only way to solve this is by restarting the pc which is annoying. All windows updates are installed, newest network card drivers and still nothing. Unfortunately SP1 doesn't show up as available in Windows Updates... could be because of my audio card which is a Creative Audigy 2 and i read somewhere on microsoft site that SP1 is not available yet for those who have a file of version 6.xx.xxx.x or lower ...something like that and i have 5.xx.xxx.x and i can't find newer drivers. I found on a forum this same problem even if it was in Vista RC but no resolve there. I tried the TCP patch that seems to work meaning that in event viewer Warnings about the tcp/ip limit being reached don't show up anymore but that didn't solve anything, the problem still exists. I don't have any additional Firewall... just the windows firewall. Maybe it's a setting in the firewall that i don't know about. Maybe some of you guys have an idea on solving this.
Thank you in advance.
