I'm updating my motherboard, CPU (going from AMD to Intel) and RAM but keeping the HD(s) and DVDRW.

I'd like to know since I've never done this operation before, what (if any) issues I can expect? Is Vista smart enough to update that info when I plug in the new components?

One issue would be the old HD has the old MB chipset and system drivers installed which will not work for the new Intel MB. A 'repair' install may work, not sure. A reformat and fresh install of VISTA would be my suggestion.
