More Information

pft where do I start. Ive been looking for answers / help for about a week now I honestly am about to just reformat back to XP. To start with here is my system specs.

Intel Q6600 Rev G0 Quad Core @ Stock speed
Evga 8800GTX 764mb video card
Evga 680i A1 motherboard
2x1gb sticks corsair XMS PC-6400 CA4 <~~ but my mobo is running it CA5 but it is running @ pc-6400 speed
Thermaltake 750w 4rail PSU
Thermaltake armor series case
Two seagate 250gig 16mb cache HDs in Raid 0
MX518 Logitech Mouse
G15 Logitech Keyboard
Creative Soundblaster Fala1ty X-FI soundcard
Liteon dvd combo
21 inch samsung 2ms LCD
Vista Ultimate 64bit edition (has a x86 folder so id assume its x86 version)

This is basically the deal. I used to play wow a lot and then crysis demo and UT3 demo came out and stuff so I started to play crysis and I did the auto detect thing and it put everything on highest. I only play on 1680 res too keep this in mind. Crysis at a hair higher then mid settings lags like hell. I mean it looks like your trying to play everything on highest on a Barton 2500 and a 9800pro its so laggy its dumb. Now I started to play wow again and it is HORRIBLE WOW. Everything on lowest I get 150 frames tops. My new laptop I just got which is a T7100, 8700M, 2gigs of pc-5400 runs wow on those settings with that rest over 350 frames... On my desktop you turn settings up your LUCKY to get 34-50....I dont understand it. With those specs ^ I should be getting like 3-4 times the frame rates on highest.

Ive literately tried everything to fix it honestly. I read about norton sometimes screwing things up so I uninstalled it no change. I got the new windows updates, nothing. I got the new drivers for soundcard / videocard / chipset nothing. Ive tried killing like all the processes in my process tree and did it

Id think with a machine like this I could atleast play wow at max settings with no lag ever, which I was doing on windows xp this started when I went to vista i changed mobos (went from a P5WDH DELUXE to a Evga 680i) so im kinda lost on this and yes ive turned off indexing and all that stuff no change. Any help would be awesome thanks.

Also I get blue screens once in a blue moon, like 1 every 2 months or so just throwing that out there, only happend with vista tho / new mobo so I duno honestly
