Make sure you have the latest drivers as well as BIOS.

More Information

Yes i have the latest drivers, and i have un/reinstalled

Under Sound in dxdiag it says:
No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.

:(

More Information

In Safe Mode I'd run AdAware and Spybot Search and destroy and I would also clear the CMOS since you're using onboard sound.

How do you clear the CMOS?

Any other tips?

The instructions to clear the CMOS will be either in your motherboard manual or in the manual you got with the computer if you didn't build it yourself. If you don't have the manual, should be on the mfg website. It just involves moving a little piece of plastic covering little pins on your mobo. The pins are usually near the battery.

its not recognizing your drivers perhaps, are you sure the system knows where the new drivers you have installed are?

More Information

what do you mean ed?

More Information

I mean what folder in your PC did you install the drivers? after install did you go to device manager and point the sound device to that folder for drivers?
