I've just read a local report that Cooler Master's iGreen 600W PSU (RS-600-ASAA) failed during test to provide 100% loading.

Probably because running 100% load on any PSU is bad. Personally I usually shoot for 80% max or lower for safety reservations. Not to mention the +5v/+3.3v rails and the +12v rails combined have a fixed max wattage, so pushing all of them to max simultaneously will result in a overload situation. Would you have a source link?

On the contrary, the Delta PSU is cheaper than it's Cooler Master equivalent.

I am curious to see how the 500w and the 600w units measure up, it could be they pulled another "extreme power" job and just labeled the 500w with a 600w sticker :? |
