Archived from groups: microsoft.public.pocketpc (More info?)

I have some newsletter subcriptions which has URL links.

However, it seems like PPC Messaging shows those links as text and I
cannot click on them to open IE to view those links.

How can I overcome this limitation ?

It is a limitation of Inbox on Pocket PCs. You can overcome this with
another email client. There are several out there. Do a Google Search on
Pocket PC Email Client and you should get a decent amount of hits.

If the text contains the link, you can highlight the link and paste it
into pie's address bar

I might be misreading the OP intent, but as long as the link is of the type
"http:\\..." the links in an email with the default messaging client, upon
tapping, from the inbox does open the browser and go to the page. The OS on
the test unit was 2003 SE, and I just verified.

Might be something unique to 2003 se and beyond.

Well, this is the complete text of the message I just used for a test (both
originated and received on the ppc for the test, but I have received pc
messages with links that work):

"http://www.usatoday.com"

and this is the body of the email received, which did work as a link ( note
the cutoff message as well from pocket outlook)

"http://www.usatoday.com

[Message truncated. Tap Edit->Mark for Download to get remaining portion.]
"

If you want to dig deeper into the headers and structure just give me
permission and I'll forward or send new email to an email account, avoiding
any reader mechanics.
