More Information

I have all these OpenFace fonts (the ones with the O icon) in my TrueType fonts folder. They are entitled "SingLui" and "SingSungLee" and "MingLiu" and "FlingYouMee" (you get my drift), but they don't show up as anything different.

There are TONS of these things. Can I get rid of them or do I need them for something?

Unless you have a program which needs these fonts for display - delete them if you're not going to use them.

If you have a lot of fonts (>500) on your computer, it can really bog your system down.

More Information

Do you happen to know where these things come from?

More Information

Many graphics/web editing and desktop publishing programs dump a lot of fonts onto your computer. I've even seen fonts come on driver CDs for things like printers and digital cameras.

I usually recommend that one installs software using the "custom" rather than the "express" or "full" installation - so that you can deselect stuff you don't want, such as excess fonts.

Try AMP Font Viewer to browse through your font collection & delete the ones you know you'll never use.
