I don't have any powerpoint viewer on my pocket pc. I don't necessarily
want to be able to edit powerpoint files, however would like to be able to
view them. A search on microsoft download yielded no result.
Where can i download a ppv viewer ?
Thanks,
Toby

There is not a Microsoft solution for PowerPoint on PPC - unless they have
added one for Windows Mobile 5 ...? Do a quick web search and you can find a
number of third-party options including ClearView, Pocket Slideshow,
Repligo, Picture Perfect and many more.

Steve,

Don't forget about Conduit's PocketSlides as well. A little more expensive
but a terrific application.

You can read my review of it here:

Just as an aside, Windows Mobile 5 will include Powerpoint Viewer.

Quick summary for you. There is no available .ppv viewer. Pocket Powerpoint
exists only on HandheldPCs (the ones with relatively full keyboards that
aren't produced any more). That's the only thing that uses .ppv.

Only Clearvue reads native .ppt files, so if you get a Powerpoint in the
mail, this is your only option. It has no editing capability.

Everything else requires a conversion to happen on the PC as the file is
moved to the PPC.

WindowsMobile 5 does have a PowerPoint Viewer, that reads native .ppts. I
don't think it has editing capabilities, but I'm not sure about that.

I'm partial to Conduits Pocket Slides.

Windows Mobile 5 will indeed ship with PowerPoint Mobile. It is only a
viewer, with no editing support.
