Ok yha I know there's no such thing as a stupid question, but after this I think you'll think differntly.

I just moved over to Linux totaly after tinkering with it for a few months, but now I can't remember what type I'm useing. Yes I know the Version # of the Distro, It's Ubuntu 6.06 LTS. The probem is I don't remember if I have the 64-bit or 32-bit versions. :oops:

Is there anyway I can find out what version I have via the Terminal?, but I gusse I could all ways find and install a 64-bit app to check.

It's 64-bit version, I just tried to install Flashplayer 7 and it only naturaly works on 32-bit platforms.

More Information

Just for future reference, "uname -a" will give you kernel architecture, version, host, and some other useful info.

You can still use flashplayer :-D

Just install a 32bit version of firefox + flashplayer

To install flashplayer just edit install_flash_player_7_linux/flashplayer-installer

Look for

TEMPARCH=`uname -m`

and replace it with

TEMPARCH=i386

then

./flashplayer-installer

Good Luck :-D
