Im looking for a good lcd monitor, all ive seen is a bunch of fuzzy crap, I want something fast and clear.

I'm currently enjoying the Dell 24" widescreen (2407). I really can't find a fault with that screen, especially when the price came down to around £500.

They've also got a new 2707 - 27" on special offer for £780 at the moment if you have the budget!

I have had my eye on this one for a while. It is by no means the best, but it is a good budget monitor.

I would pick one of these 3 depending on if I preferred widescreen or not and how much money I had to spend!

The Viewsonic VX922 is AFAIK the fastest LCD available. I have one and am very happy with it (only got one stuck pixel and its near an edge).

I second the vx922. Best non-widescreen for gamin. Mine has no dead pixel.

All 3 of the monitors that I suggested are just as fast as the viewsonic in the 2ms response time only they offer a much higher contrast ratio than 650 to 1. The samsungs are 2000:1 and the LG is 3000:1. Thus making the picture better on those. I have seen all of them in person and just because of the price I chose the samsung 19" widescreen based on widescreen, speed, and picture quality. The other Samsung monitor is the official monitor of WCG I believe, so that would make it a good candidate for a good gamming monitor. The widescreen version I pointed out as my choice is the same monitor in widescreen form!

I'd be interested to know if this was tested independently or if the test was done by the manufacturer.

I am running a 32" LCD HDTV at 1366x768 resolution all the time, it is the native resolution of the screen and yes though it is a bit small in comparison to the 1600x1200+ LCD's you can get, by forcing yourself to stick to a "low" resolution your video card set to vsync can render the entire frame quicker which means you can crank the eye candy.

I play, Doom3 (orig and expansion), BF2142, HL2, and FEAR on this thing and it looks like a movie.

Video card = x800pro agp, now just imagine how much more eye candy your shiny new pci-e can can make it show.

Both have the same native resolution since they both have the same driver board, the screen is just different

I have had my 32" for a few months now and cannot complain at all, also its very convenient to be ored writing a paper and flipping on the PIP to watch the tv with the computer taking up the majority of the screen

Samsung 226bw. 22" 2ms widescreen. Looks sexy too.
